biotitle

"alCREWholic" is a project founded by Mike Rofone. The idea behind this synonym (a wordplay which combines alcoholic and crew) is a fluctuating group of artists, which influences the style of every single project and keeps the music varied. The musical main direction of alCREWholic is Electronica. With a bunch of Artists working together, Mike Rofone intends to produce many different sub genres of electronic music. alCREWholic wants to make fresh, easy listening music in general. Partly simple minded, but always pleasing music.

MIKE ROFONE

Michael Bauer (a.k.a. Mike Rofone), born 1983 in Vienna, loves music since he was a young boy. In every time of his life, music was not only an amusement, but also his passion and a big part of his thinking. When he was 16 years old, his preference for electronic music evolved. He began to experiment with sounds. Because the people around him liked his electronic sound, he was forced to go on and take this "little hobby" more serious. Soon he came up with a lot of experimental sounding music, that sounded more professional and he started to spend some money in buying equipment. In the meanwhile he learned a lot about mixing and sound. He also evolved in composing and producing music. His function in the band is the whole technical responsibility including sounddesign, mixing, etc. and also the composition itself. He also gained experience with sound engineering on short film sets. Moreover some of his compositions were used in short films.

NASH

Thomas Nash (a.k.a. Nash) was born in Vienna in 1979 and raised by an Austrian mother and Indian father. His passion for music reaches back to his childhood, where he had piano and keyboard lessons before learning how to play the drums for three years. But Nash always felt more attracted to improvisation than sight-reading and so he began to compose his own tracks and experimented with different styles. Nash has a weakness for electronic music from the day his Indian turbo-ears can hear. Some of his first more professional compositions were played on the well-known Austrian radio station FM4. In addition, some short-films were set to his music. As Nash is predominantly an actor and scriptwriter, his music production was on hold for more than five years – until he met Mike Rofone on the set of the short-movie Secret Services in 2009. Nash and Rofone came up with the idea to create music together. That was the birth of their debut single One Night Stand.
